Oxyfuel

Oxyfuel can potentially increase a car engine’s acceleration, but it depends on the system.

Oxyfuel means using fuel with oxygen as the oxidizer instead of relying only on oxygen from normal air.

Fuel + O₂ → combustion → heat and pressure → engine torque → wheel force → acceleration

More available oxygen can allow more fuel to burn in the same engine cycle, potentially producing more power and torque. However, oxygen itself does not create energy—it allows the fuel to release its chemical energy more rapidly.

For a normal car, simply adding oxygen is not a safe or simple acceleration upgrade because combustion temperature and cylinder pressure can increase substantially, potentially damaging the engine.

In short:

More suitable oxygen + appropriate fuel control → potentially more combustion power → more torque → potentially faster acceleration.
